Our products require specialist materials, manufacturing time, technical support and fulfilment. For this reason, we do not normally provide products solely in exchange for an informal mention, tag or unspecified exposure.

A large following is not essential. A relevant audience, strong content, dependable delivery and professional presentation are often more valuable than follower numbers alone.

Partnership Options

Ways we may work together

The arrangement offered will depend on the creator, project, product value, proposed content and likely benefit to Defensible Ballistics.

Affiliate partnership

A tracked link or discount code may be provided, with commission paid on qualifying sales. This is often the preferred starting point for a new partnership.

Creator discount

Selected creators may be offered a discount where the proposed content is relevant but the collaboration does not justify full sponsorship.

Partial sponsorship

Defensible Ballistics may contribute towards a product while the creator covers manufacturing, delivery, customisation or other agreed costs.

Product loan

Some reusable products may be loaned subject to a written agreement, return deadline, deposit and responsibility for loss or damage.

Gifted collaboration

Fully gifted products are reserved for proposals offering strong, relevant and measurable value through content, reach, licensing, leads or long-term visibility.

Paid media project

Formal campaigns, documentaries, television productions, commercial shoots and specialist demonstrations may be agreed as paid projects.

Be specific about the value offered

General statements such as “we will provide exposure”, “we will tag your business” or “we will mention your products” are not sufficient. Please set out the exact content, platforms, deadlines, links, tags, audience and reuse rights included in your proposal.

Technical and Brand Standards

Technical accuracy

Creators must not:

Make unsupported scientific claims
Misrepresent calibration, density or product specifications
Describe a product as certified unless confirmed by us
Present entertainment content as conclusive scientific evidence
Show unsafe preparation or handling practices
Make inaccurate claims about tissue simulation

Brand suitability

We may decline content involving:

Unsafe or irresponsible testing
Illegal activity or deliberate misuse
Misleading or excessively sensationalised demonstrations
Artificial engagement or purchased followers
Discriminatory, defamatory or offensive material
Unauthorised alteration of Defensible Ballistics branding

Honest reviews are welcome

We do not require creators to provide a positive review. We may, however, ask to verify factual product details, technical statements and preparation guidance before publication.

Disclosure and Content Rights

Transparency and agreed usage

Advertising disclosure

Any payment, gifted product, discount, commission or other benefit must be disclosed clearly and prominently in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and platform policies.

Platform partnership or branded-content tools should also be used where appropriate.

Content usage rights

Please state whether Defensible Ballistics may:

Repost the finished content on social media
Use content on its website or within email marketing
Use images within printed materials
Edit supplied footage into shorter clips
Use content within advertising campaigns

Initial review

We assess relevance, performance, professionalism, technical suitability and overall value.

Partnership offer

We may offer an affiliate arrangement, discount, loan, partial sponsorship or gifted collaboration.

Written agreement

Deliverables, deadlines, disclosure, costs, return terms and usage rights are agreed before dispatch.

Product dispatch

Products are dispatched once the agreement and any required payment or deposit are complete.

Content production

We provide relevant product and technical information where required.

Publication and reporting

The agreed content is published and links, analytics and files are supplied as agreed.

Partnership review

Successful partners may be considered for larger projects and long-term arrangements.

Non-Delivery

If agreed content is not completed

Products supplied for a collaboration are provided conditionally against the agreed deliverables. If content is not delivered by the agreed deadline, Defensible Ballistics may require the return of unused products, payment for supplied products or costs, return of loaned equipment, cancellation of the partnership and removal from consideration for future collaborations.

Custom-made, consumable or tested products may not be returnable and may therefore become chargeable. Reasonable extensions may be agreed where the creator contacts us before the deadline.

Do you provide products in exchange for a social media mention?

We do not normally supply products solely in exchange for an informal mention, tag or unspecified exposure. We require clear deliverables and measurable value proportionate to the products requested.

Do I need a large following?

No. We consider audience relevance, genuine average views, content quality, professionalism and likely value. Smaller specialist creators are encouraged to apply.

Can I receive an expensive custom product for one video?

High-value and custom-made products normally require proven performance, a substantial content package, valuable content rights or a financial contribution.

Can I begin as an affiliate?

Yes. An affiliate arrangement or creator discount is often the best starting point for a new partnership.

Can products be supplied for television or film production?

Yes. Please provide the production details, intended use, dates, products required and whether the products will be returned, consumed or damaged during filming.

Can Defensible Ballistics reuse my content?

Content usage rights will be agreed before products are supplied. We do not assume unrestricted ownership unless this has been expressly agreed in writing.

What happens if publication is delayed?

Contact us as soon as possible. A reasonable extension may be agreed in writing. Failure to communicate or complete the deliverables may result in the products becoming chargeable.

Are international creators eligible?

Yes. International shipping, taxes, customs charges, import requirements and delivery risks will be considered when assessing the proposal.
